Last July, eligible providers anxiously awaited the final rule from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding meaningful use. Many wondered about requirements to get the stimulus money, and it was still unclear about what type of EHR system they would need to use. Since then, incentive payments have started going out, several agencies have been named ONC-Authorized Testing and Certification Bodies (ATCB), and CMS is moving to finalize Phase 2 of the program.
