Welcome to 2012!

This year is off and running with several key changes that are affecting the entire industry. At the end of 2011 Congress passed a two-month payroll tax cut extension. Included was the avoidance of Medicare payment cuts that would effectively reduce all physicians’ salaries. Then on January 1 the new ANSI-5010 deadline arrived, forcing the entire industry to begin submitting electronic claims in a new format that has been touted as a way to standardize the industry. While that remains to be seen, it does look as though 2012 will continue to be eventful with all the happenings surrounding meaningful use and the countdown to transition to the new ICD-10 code set in October 2013.   We at Nuesoft are [cont...]
