CEO's Column

Massoud AlibakhshWelcome to the fall edition of e-Nues, the quarterly newsletter of Nuesoft Xpress.

This issue of the newsletter has a technology theme. Advances in technology have always been important to health care, but recently we've been witnessing technology fundamentally changing the way that we communicate with each other. This issue of the newsletter looks at the new social operating tools that health centers can use to communicate with their students and how technology can help us network with our peers to collectively find solutions to questions.

We'll also be unveiling the new and improved Student Health Link, a secure student portal that interfaces with Nuesoft Xpress and aims to reduce data entry and time spent by your staff on the phone. Additionally, we'll be taking a moment in this newsletter to congratulate the latest winners of the Nuesoft Xpress scholarship program. We received so many applications that we are considering extending the scholarship program to 2009, so if you're interested in automating your college health center but it's beyond your budget in these tough economic times, remember to check our Web site for upcoming announcements!

Finally, we are holding an online roundtable session in December that is bound to be popular. Presented by LeRoy Rooker, head of the family policy compliance office at the U.S. Department of Education, it aims to clear up the confusion that surrounds the application of FERPA and HIPAA to university and college health and counseling centers. This free session will take place on December 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. ET – to sign up, simply click here and enter your information.

We are always interested to hear your feedback, so if you have any comments or would like us to cover a particular
topic in a future newsletter or roundtable, please e-mail us
at editor@nuesoft.com.

Sincerely,
Massoud Alibakhsh
