Massoud AlibakhshWelcome to the summer edition of e-Nues, the quarterly newsletter of Nuesoft Xpress.

With the beginning of the fall semester just around the corner, many of you will be bracing yourselves for the influx of new students who, as part of their orientation, will be streaming into your campus health center in a few weeks. Yet according to recent research, it appears that the counseling arm of most of these student health services are underutilized by the very students who need them the most. As part of our Healthy Campus 2010 series, we take a look at how college campuses can spearhead efforts to reduce the number of student suicides.

In this edition of the newsletter, we will also be examining the perennial problem of student health insurance. Balancing the need to offer students the best possible choices while also being able to practically handle the workload implications of accepting insurance puts a lot of health centers in a difficult situation. We examine the issue – and suggestions to deal
with it - here.

Finally, we very much enjoyed meeting so many of you at
the ACHA conference in Orlando in June. If you didn’t get to sample our extremely popular anniversary celebration cake,
I can only say: you missed out! You can, however, read
about all our activities at the conference in this article.

We are always interested to hear your feedback, so if you have any comments or would like us to cover a particular
topic in a future newsletter or roundtable, please e-mail us
at editor@nuesoft.com.

Sincerely,
Massoud Alibakhsh
