NueMD Release Version 3.10 Coming Soon
In the next few months, Nuesoft will release Version 3.10 of NueMD. The upgrade will add a couple of major changes to the product – including the ability to access modules across multiple accounts and a new Dashboard feature – as well as some minor enhancements.
“This upgrade will be a milestone in innovation for the NueMD system,” said Steve Rogers, director of product management for Nuesoft Technologies. “It will provide increased automation and easy access to key information required to make decisions within a practice or clinic. We are setting the stage for even greater flexibility and usability improvements in the future.”
Dashboard Module
The headliner of the Version 3.10 upgrade is the Dashboard module. One of the most requested features in the 2009 client survey, the Dashboard is a practice management tool that gives users customized, centralized views of key data points and performance metrics from the 70-plus reports readily available within NueMD. After logging in to NueMD, users will have immediate access to pie-charts, line-charts and other visual representations of pertinent practice information.
“The dashboard will be customizable for each user,” said Rogers. “A user can add more widgets from the marketplace section, where a description and preview will be available for each one."
New Super User Capability
Many clients are already familiar with Super Accounts, where multiple accounts can be managed at the same time. With the NueMD 3.10 upgrade, Nuesoft is adding a Super Tools feature, where our super account users can access unique modules that can be applied across multiple accounts at the same time. Super Tools will roll out in stages. The first stage incorporated with 3.10 will include updates to claims, statements, reports, user administration and aggregated invoices.
NueMD EMR Template
A key feature of NueMD is the ability to create templates. This feature will now be applied to our EMR and is central to its operation and clinical data gathering. Users will be able to create custom templates of questions and responses that are typically taken during a patient encounter. The user can collect the infomation in any order, but it will be stored in a structured manner so it will appear to be hard coded in the system. The advantage is that each user now has a unique patient encounter workflow while maintaining reporting in an identical framework.
Additional Billing and Reporting Capabilities
Other functionality will include a new Anesthesia Billing feature, with an Anesthesia calculator that allows the user to enter time in minutes and calculate the number of units for which the procedure should be billed.
Overall reporting will also be enhanced with NueMD Version 3.10. Certain reports can now be scheduled and delivered regularly throughout the week. For example, if you would like your cash flow by rendering provider report to be run each Friday at 6 p.m., you can schedule it to appear in your reports cache at that time.
